"Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor,
Emergency Medical Services, is responsible for performing patient
assessment, treatment and monitoring tasks, which include controlled
medical acts while providing safe and timely transport in accordance
with the applicable Acts."

| Responsibilities: |

| Qualifications: |
"As per the Ambulance Act of Ontario, Regulation
257/00. One to two years experience as an EMA / Paramedic would be
an asset. Must be, or have the ability to be, certified by the base
hospital to perform defibrillation and symptom relief. Must have the
ability to maintain minimum standards and complete mandatory
training specified by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care,
Emergency Health Services Branch."
"Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and
teamwork skills."

| Physical Requirements: |
"Must have a high degree of physical dexterity,
coordination and strength including fine gross motor skills and
demonstrated ability in the performance of patient extrication,
positioning, lifting and carrying techniques to rapidly access,
treat, convey and manage patient conditions under frequently
awkward, difficult and sometimes hazardous environmental
conditions."
