 | Just to let everyone know, McCausland
Ambulance Service in Terrace Bay is going to be hosting a charity
bonspiel on November 24 and 25, 2001 in support of the
Benevolent fund for the Fire/Paramedic/Police Officers who lost their
lives (on September 11, 2001). This is strictly charitable.

Sunnybrook
Base Hospital has started up a "Paramedic
Academy". In the works are courses for Primary,
Advanced, and Critical Care Flight Paramedics. Apparently, these
courses will now be available Province wide.

 | The Ontario Paramedic Association 2001
Conference is being held in St. Catherines, Ontario from
September 7th to 9th, 2001. This conference is being sponsored
by the Ontario Paramedic Association and the Niagara Paramedic
Association. Pre-Conference courses are being offered on Friday
September 7 from 9am to 5pm in Pre-Hospital 12 Lead ECG Interpretation
(Rob Theriault) and PowerPoint for Paramedics (Rick Trombley).
OPA members get discounts on conference fees, and everyone is invited
to attend the "Fundraiser Banquet" on Saturday night.
Hotel accommodations are available at the special "OPA Rate"
until August 15th (call 905-688-2324 for Reservations). For more
