COMPUTER NETWORK TERMS
Node : any device that is connected to a network.

Client : a node that requests and uses resources available from nodes.

Server : A nodes that share resources with other nodes.

Host / server : Any computer that provides services and connection to other computers on a network.

Switch : A device used to connect multiple devices on a single (typically wired) network, forward packets to only intended recipient.

Hub : The device that provides a common central connection point for nodes on network.

Network interface card (NIC) - An expansion cards through which a computer can connect to a network that provides wireless data transmission.
