Track Prep
Before embaring on a track day, there are several things that you should do to your car or u will just end up having a bad day there!
First...bleed your brakes. there's no sense going on a track day when u have air in your lines...or if u have crappy brake fluid which is just going to cook due to high temperatures. Try to use Dot4/5 fluids or if you want to do it the boro way, use the ford premium brake fluid. it is dot3 but good to 550f and is very good. It has worked very well for me and was recommended to me by vivek.
Other than changing brake fluid you should change the oil on your car...now this is important because u want to have fresh oil before going. Try using synthetic oil as it's viscosity doesnt change when heat rises or drops. dino oil does this. if you must use dino oil, get the thickest u can find because your car will be in high temperatures all day long. Usually 15w40 or 20w50 is good. if going synthetic, use at least a 10w30/40. and make sure u use FULL synthetic. prefably mobil 1.
Maybe even change spark plugs if you use coppers...it's going to be sparking like mad all day long...better have some good plugs!
if you just had new pads put in, DRIVE ON THEM FOR AT LEAST 200K FIRST!! city driving! the pads must seat before u go to the track or u will have 0 brakes when u get there!
