Artist, Painter

Born in Iowa,in 1970, he earned his MFA from Yale School of Art in 1995. Before that he attended Kansas City Art Intitute earning his BFA in 1992. He is teaching art and art history in the community college system in Connecticut. He has exhibited lanscape and still life paintings around the USA. His major exhibitions have been at The Streeterville Gallery in Chicago, IL; Ucross Foundation in Clearmont, WY; and the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings, MT. He also exhibited in Kansas City, MO and was in a group show at the MWMWM Gallery in Chicago.

Aaron won the Promising Artist Award from Washington Chapter in 1993 while he was attending American University. He won the Victor Wilson Fellowship, which is a Yale University Tuition Scholarship from the Yale Club of Kansas City. He won the Elizabeth Canfield Hicks Award for Excellence in Life Painting at Yale University. While still in High School, he won the National High School Art Award, Gold Key Award, for Watercolor.

In Kansas City his paintings can be seen at the Kemper Collection in the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art and Design in Kansas City, MO.
