Ranger GuidesRangers are members of the Senior Section who go to a meeting each week. At Rangers you are guided by adult Leaders but generally run your own meetings. |

Young LeadersHelp Adult Leaders run units with Rainbows, Brownies and Gudies. They take on personal responsibilities. Being a Young Leader counts towards the Service section of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award (see below). You can work towards your Making it Count! or Adult Leadership Scheme |

Female Link MembersLeaders who provide support and activities to units without a formal weekly commitment. |

British Youth CouncilBYC represents and involves a unique coalition of young people through
their involvement as individuals or through their youth organisations. |

Young GuidersYoung Guiders are have passed the Adult Leadership Qualification, required for all Adult Leaders. As Young Guiders you can work with one unit (Rainbows, Brownies or Guides) and can also be a member of Rangers, working towards your Look Wider, Duke of Edinburgh's Award or Queen's Guide Award. |

Members of Student Scout and Guide ClubsSSAGO - The Student Scout and Guide Organisation is a non-uniformed organisation that enables you to continue your Scouting or Guiding or to begin whilst at College or University. They have many clubs based at Universities and Colleges throughout the UK but also have "Individual members" at Universities and Colleges where no clubs exist. (Yet...) |

Girlguiding UK Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ParticipantsYou can start your Bronze Award at 14yrs, Silver at 15yrs and Gold at 16yrs. The Award asks for you to complete 4 sections, Skill, Service, Physical Recreation and Expedition. Though Gold has an extra Residential that you must undertake. You do not have to be a member of Rangers to complete this Award, many young people complete it at School or College, though you can join an Open Award Unit to undertake your Expedition. What you can do as a Senior Section member

Look WiderThe Look Wider programme based on principles and methods of guiding can be worked through by members of the Senior Section. It is clearly linked to qualification both inside and outside of Guiding. You don’t have to be a member of a group to complete it either. It is based around 8 areas known as Octants that vary to include the variety of talents within members & to be flexible to suite the individual. Queen’s Guide AwardCan be started when you are 16yrs old. To register get your leader to download the form from the leaders resources section on this website.

UnitsWithin North Pembrokeshire there is only one Senior Section unit in Fishguard and Goodwick. However, there are many young leaders who help with many units over the division. They get support from their Guiders. You do not necessarily have to be part of a group to complete Look Wider, Queen’s Guide Award or Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. |

What next?Now you can work towards your Warrant and become a Guider. You can choose which section you would like to help with whether Rainbows, Brownies or Guides suits you best. The world is you oyster! |
