| I am not a lumber jack or a fur trader, I don't live in an igloo, eat blubber or own a dog sled. I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzie from Canada although I am certain they're really, really nice. I have a Prime Minster not a President. I can proudly sew my country's flag on my back pack, I believe in peace keeping not policing, diversity not assimilation, and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal. A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch. And it is pronounced zed, not zee. Canada is the second largest landmass, the first nation of hockey, and has been named the number one country to live in by the United Nations. I couldn't agree more. We have cold weather, but warm hearts. We have medicare and are a friendly, polite people, even when it's not Christmas. My name is Maureen, and I am Canadian. Thank You. |
