scarfingtool
For a tight fit of a scarfing, you need the same angle for every batten. As I want to make my Main sheer moulding, I had to make 4 battens together for one moulding. So I want to have a tool for a fast and precise scarf.
I have precuted the scarfing with the table saw. Then I draw an angle point 40 cm from the end of the batten. By hand I fixed this point to the edge of the wooden block- witch is secured to the bench , and pressed the batten on the sander. A small piece of plywood is good for the straightness of the sharp end of the scarf and for your fingers too.
The job goes on very fast.

The result looks o.k.
