14th of May 2004

Due to the concern expressed by current NITRO members, there are a few clarifications, as well as changes that need to be made.

1.) NITRO Robot Exhibition is planned to be during Science Fair 2004.  Please see the
plannng page for more information.

2.) We will need funding from the school for next year.  The plan is to get the school to buy a few FM radio controllers as well as motor controllers.  This way, we can build our robots, and just swap in the electronics when we have a battle.

3.) The official season 1 of NITRO will start Fall of 2004.

4.) The weight restrictions are very lenient.  Power sources can be external as well.  Consult the organizer for more information.

5.) Judges will be selected for Season 1 after it starts.  Season 0 will have only a few judges, because the competition format is semi-formal.  Any team that is caught attempting to bribe or kidnap the judges will be immediately disqualified and handed over to the Thai authorities.

6.) Robots ARE allowed to be made from a modified remote-controlled car, however, there has to be evidence of modification to the chassis.

IMPORTANT!

7.) The trip to Khom-Thom has been called off.  Instead, the trip would be to the Tamiya modelling store on Saturday 15th of May, 2004.  We can by parts like tank chassis and motor gearboxes.  They are affordable, and are of high quality.  They will be perfect for the competitions.
