Grekath

"I cannot return, and yet I do not know what I would find if I did."

(No Image)

Name: Grekath
From: Kaiana, an (until recently) unknown planet in the outer systems
Bonds: Ochasmatia Terrena
Species: Badger anthromorph
Parents: Unknown
Age: 34 Earth-cycles
Sex: Male
Height: 5'2" tall
General Description: Broad-shouldered and bent slightly forward to compensate for his tail and build. Most other aspects are that of a five-foot badger on its hind legs, with stature altered accordingly. Brown robes that cover most of his body are always present; no footgear unless he's in a human morphed form.
Residence: Star City Station (Transient)
Profession: Formerly chief mage among his tribe; no profession in current location
Personality: Trained from birth to be serious about his duties, Grekath has an air of purpose about him most of the time. His fierce loyalty to his tribe has carried forward to encompass his new friends (and bond) on Star City. Despite these two traits, his tendency to almost never smile is mostly due to his natural badger form and not just an oversized dose of seriousness.

Grekath says what he means and does what he says, but that won't always stop him from questioning what he feels is holding things back.
History: Grekath was born and raised among a people with close spiritual ties to the world on which they were placed; yet despite that, nobody ever really ventured off the little island the badger-tribes called home. Grekath quickly grew to learn, accept, and practice his clan's spiritual ways and was soon revealed as one gifted with a connection to their planet. Years later, he would be known as the youngest member of their tribe to be admitted into their inner council.

As the years passed, though, Grekath began to wonder about some of the rules and laws his people had built around their spiritual center. His tribe quickly marked him as one who could stir trouble if not reined in, and that spelled an end to his quick advancement in their ranks. That, coupled with the human nations that had chosen to use their little world as a permanent prison, led eventually to discord and separation from his tribe.
Abilities: Grekath's connection to his home planet gave him various magic- or psionic-like abilities... and once he figures out that the planet he's on now is however-many-miles down instead of right underneath him, he'll have access to the following once again:
  • Full-sensory, large-scale illusion: He can completely change his surroundings into something of similar, believable nature. Others with a connection to the planet are somewhat likely to see through this, but it's difficult for the untrained eye.
  • Visual Stealthing: Not quite invisibility, as those looking closely will see a very slight 'blur' around his body, particularly if he moves too quickly.
  • Unrefined Telekinesis: He has no problem lifting most heavy objects up to about 400 pounds, but the refined manipulation of anything with this ability, such as a screwdriver or fork and knife, escapes him.
  • Human Form: Mainly because they were the only other sizeable race around, really. Grekath can, once he figures out how, illusion his way into being any similar-sized being, but the human form by far is the easiest and, for now, comes in the most handy.
