Safety At Work
The workplace is the second most common setting for accidents.
Injuries in the workplace include those related to hazards, equipment, working conditions, and violence. If you work with hazardous chemicals or materials, be particularly careful in handling them. Always change your clothes and shower before leaving your job to avoid carrying hazardous residue
home. Wherever you work, follow these basic safety rules:
If your job requires protective gear, such as goggles, gloves, earplugs or masks,
wear them.

Never operate machinery or other equipment when drowsy or ill. If you take medication, heed the warning label about operating machinery or driving. |
Alert your supervisor, union representative or other appropriate official to all potentially hazardous conditions. |
Make sure you are aware of your company's safety policy. Read and follow all safety precautions that apply to your job position. |
