New govt postings
C Lalramhluna, IFS who had been posted in the Andamans have come back to Mizoram as a Chief Conservator of Forests at the PCCF office. He joined his duties Friday. The joint director of Horticulture, Samuel Rosanglura have been placed in an officiating capacity as Director of Horti. Meanwhile, Aizawl SP Zorammawia, who had been on leave for one month, has rejoined his duties. He has been given the additional charge of SP, Anti-Corruption Branch.
Rinchhana releases book by Lalrawnliana
The tenth volume of a book entitled "Zoramin Zalenna a sual", written by Lalrawnliana, an ex-colonel of the Mizo National Army was released yesterday by Revenue minister Lalrinchhana. The book is about the independence struggle by the MNF.
Friendship tournament goes on
The AR Friendship Football tournament, which entered its second day today, saw three matches in which Dinthar FC drew with Tuikual South SC 1,1, Vaivakawn SC drew with Dawrpui Vengthar 1,1 and Chanmari West SC walked over Mizoram Police Soccer Club as they did not appear for the match.
Signing of MoU resulted in job losses : MPCY
The Mizoram Conference Party youths have blamed the Mizoram government for the job losses by muster roll workers, especially the 180 MR workers of Saitual PWD division. The MPCY said these cut down in jobs have come about as a result of the MoU signed by the Mizoram government with the Centre.
ZNP supports HPC resolutions
The Zoram Nationalist Party has made a statemnet voicing their support of the resolutions made at the last Hmar People's Convention general assembly for the implementation of the HPC/GoM accord.
