BARIŞ MANÇO
He was
born in İstanbul in 1943. His music career started in 1957.
He began to write articles in 1963. He went to Belgium and
studied Graphics and Design . He graduated with Honours from
the Academy from 1965 to 1969.Barış Manço composed numerous
Ohits’ and became a very famous pop star from 1970 to 1975.He
married Lale Çağlar in 1978.He had got two children.Their names
are Doğukan and Batıkan. Doğukan was born in 1981 and Batıkan
was born in 1984 Mid – 1980 , his TV series began. He bestowed
the privileged title of State Artist’ by the President.
Manço
intensified his efforts for the cultural improvement of the
Turkish people. In this manner, he attached great importance to
children and launched a TV show, called “7’den 77’ye” (7 to 77).
In that series, he presented his journeys to almost every
corner of the world with the aim of expanding the cultural and
informative horizons of the Turkish people. . His unusual ultra-modern
outer appearance (with his long black hair and downward-slanting
moustache, supplemented by fur coats and gigantic rings) is very
attractive.
