Love's First Branches
Under the crossing branches of mountain laurel
I paused and dreamed of you a while.

I thought of times long since gone and most forgotten
when I paused and dreamed of you a while.

Your flowing hair and skin as soft as fur on little kittens
touched my senses with a delicate delight.

My eyes caressed the beauty of your graceful breasts,
turned upward slightly as you laughed and smiled.

We lay on grass as green as I , at loving,
and loving you was so very real at last.

We slept entwined in loving's sweet embace
and then awakened, to the dancing stars above.

I am so happy that I paused and dreamed of you a while
at that very place, where I first discovered love.
