Computer Discovery
Welcome to 8th Grade Computer Discovery at Neshoba Central Middle School. The purpose of this web site is to allow parents and students to become familiar with the course and its instructor, as well as give specific information on current class topics, assignments, and school activties. Computer Discovery is a multimedia technology based course that teaches students basic skills and concepts of computer usage. This course is designed to provide fundamental skills in the operation of microcomputers, including an introduction to computers, keyboarding skills, and file management in a windows environment. Students will also be introduced to word processing, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, and database applications. There are 26 computer stations in each of the two Neshoba Central Middle School Computer Discovery labs. Each computer has a direct line to the Internet allowing students unlimited global possibilities of educational research.
