Body treatments

  • Sclerotherapy

What is Sclerotherapy?

Sclerotherapy can be carried out by coagulation technique or by injecting of a harmless solution to treat problematic thread vein area.

How does it work?

A small amount of the solution is injected into target vessels using a micro-needle. It is an irritant and on entering the vessel causes the area to blanch (turn white) as it pushes the blood out and begins to irritates the blood vessel's wall. The continuous irritation causes contractions and eventual collapse of the wall, thus preventing the blood from re-entering the vessel. Results should be visible in 4-6 weeks

Coagulation is usually used to treat very superficial capillaries on both face and body. The electric current is passed trough a micro-needle and vessel is coagulated, blanched. It can be quite uncomfortable. The redness will appear after the treatment and it will dissappear in a few days. A scab may form, which will peel off as soon as te area heals.

On most occasions you may need more than one treatment. Your registered practitioner will discuss the options with you during your consultation.

Who can have this treatment?

Thread and Spider Veins is often hereditary and can be suffered by both men and women although it is more common in women, often as a result of pregnancy or hormonal issues.

Those currently pregnant or lactating are unable to have Sclerotherapy as well as those who have previously suffered with phlebitis, DVT or any other circulatory issues.

Are there any adverse reactions or side effects?

You may experience slight bruising or swelling in the treated area which should have subsided in two weeks. In the rare case that it takes bruising/swelling persists then further medical help must be sought.

In certain skin types there is a small chance that Sclerotherapy will cause pigmentation problems.

Is there any aftercare I should be aware of?

It is advisable to wear compression bandages or stockings for 72 hours after treatment which should then be worn for a further 2 weeks during the day time only. Results and healing time will be helped by the use of creams containing vitamin K, which actively decrease bruising and reduces pigmentation after the treatment.

If swelling after treatment is particularly uncomfortable an ice pack can be applied to help reduce it. No make-up for 48 hours for any of the treated facial areas. Please use cooling gels or lotions such as aloa vera or wich hazel. High factor sun block will be required untill a complete healing.

Will these Thread/Spider Veins reappear?

Unfortunately Sclerotherapy is not a preventative treatment and therefore there is always a possibility that new veins will appear in the area. Good diet, regular exercise, avoiding saunas and prolonged exposure to sun will reduce apperance of the thread veins.

  • Mesotherapy

What is it?

Mesotherapy is an injectable treatment using superficial small injections to deliver nourishing substances to the layers of the skin. Vitamins, amino-acids, minerals, hyaluronic acid, all essential components for healthy skin cells. This treatment helps improve dull, tired looking skin; dry, lifeless skin, superficial wrinkles and celulite areas on the body.

How is it done?

A series of superficial injections are done by hand or with an injection device delivering rapid injections for larger areas. Normally it is well tolerated, but for sensitive areas anaesthetic cream can be used prior to the treatment. Initially a course of 6-8 sessions are advised every 2 weeks, with maintenance 1-2 times a year.

Are there any contraindications?

Allergy to components in the proposed mesotherapy cocktail, pregnancy, breastfeeding, kelloid scarring, active infection or malignancy.

Is the treatment safe?

Yes, all the substances used, normally occur in the skin but degrade as our skin becomes older and stressed.  Mesotherapy replaces these naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients.

Is it effective?

Very, skin becomes luminescent, hydrated, nourished, and firmer and texture is improved.

What are the side effects?

Minimal bruising, swelling and marks from injections are all short lived. Infection, allergy, scar or pigmentation is very rare.

What aftercare is needed?

Ice packs are applied to reduce swelling and bruising, moisturiser and SPF cream is used afterwards and make-up can be used next day.

  • Hand Rejuvenation

What is it?

The hands can reveal our true age. Although there are many aesthetic improvements for the face, neck and body, until recently satisfactory treatments for hands have been left behind. Fortunately, today, there are numerous techniques that can be used turn back the clock for aging hands.

Our hands are continuously subjected to the damaging effects of the environment and these everyday strains of wear and tear can have a significant effect on their premature aging over time.

Long-term exposure to sun can leave brownish discolorations spots. Skin becomes thinner with advancing years. Veins at the back of hands become dilated and more visible. The walls of the blood vessels become more fragile and blood cells can leak through them after minor injuries. Degradation products from these leaked cells can stain the skin yellowish- brown. With aging we lose fat and skin thickness, which makes the hands look bony and unattractive. The small joints of hands undergo wear and tear, and this can cause the knuckles to become thickened and unsightly.

Advanced hand rejuvenation methods combat all the problems associated with hand aging. We can combine injectable treatments with chemical peels and special product range for home care.

  • Massage

Massage is great for relaxing, improving your circulation and a feeling of well being after a stressful day. Swedish massage is usually a deeper tissue massage with style of long flowing strokes and is ideal for tose who want to feel a strong pressure. The pressure of the strokes and the massage can be changed to suit your personal taste, you can also choose to focus on the areas you like.

A combination of aromatherapy oils are quite sooting and is best for tose who desire to achive a better relaxation.  This can be combined with lymphatic drainage.

  • Electro-lipolysis

A build up of stubborn fat deposits and toxins in the adipose tissue is a creator of the biggest problem in men and women.

Our revolutionary non-surgical treatment uses a new technology and PH diet correction. No scars, no pain, no redness, no liposuction just guaranteed results.

The Treatment

Cellulite

At Natural Beauty Clinic we treat the root cause of skin and body contouring problems. The RDRF208 current moves unwanted impurities while conveying therapeutic substances into the skin without using needles and performs deep massage and lymphatic drainage.

Cellulite conditions are treated successfully, these conditions can vary from mild to extensive areas of cellulite.

Electro-Lipolysis

Electrolipolysis targets these problem areas, such as, your waist, hips and thighs. It breaks down the fat in your cells into a substance your body can easily get rid of. Electrolipolysis provides a painless, safe and non-surgical way to slim problem areas without muscle contractions or discomfort, using low voltage currents through non-invasive skin electrodes. It deals with unwanted fat deposits and fluid retention. A computerised programme of electro-stimulation breaks down the triglycerides (molecules stored in the fat cells into free fatty acids (smaller deposits) which can pass through the cell membrane into the lymphatic system.
Electro-lipolysis evolved from studying the effects of electro-therapy on kidney dialysis patients. Electrodes were placed beneath their skin to measure tissue hydration. At the same time, doctors also noticed that the volume of subcutaneous fat surrounding each electrode was substantially reduced.

Advantages of This Method

Rapidly conveys holistic therapeutic substances to areas of the tissue De-ionizes & clears the subcutaneous tissue of free radicals, which are shed through the skin Stimulates the generation of fibroblasts, thus thickening the skin & improving its elasticity Activates the deep microcirculation of blood capillaries & improves the oxygenation of tissues Stimulates the lymphatic system without the trauma that can be caused by stretching of the skin Opens the small membrane in the cells that allow the exchange of substances between the inside and outside of the cell

Benefits of this method

• Actually reduces the appearance of CELLULITE while defining your figure
• Corrects Lumpiness left from Liposuction
• Eliminates extra Fluid Retention
• Reduces Body Fat
• Improves Oxygen flow and Nourishment in the body
• Increases Blood and Lymph Circulation
• Tones and Firms of Tissues
• Reduces appearance of Wrinkles
• Reduces Stretch Marks
• No broken Capillaries

Lymphatic Drainage

Our lymphatic system plays a very important role in keeping us healthy. It removes waste material and excess fluids in the deeper layers of our skin. It helps protect and maintain the internal fluid environment of our entire body by communicating closely with our bloodstream. The lymphatic system consists of lymph vessels, nodes and organs.

The lymph vessels transport lymph fluid between the blood and body cells, just like veins and arteries carry our blood. Lymph Nodes are placed along the course these lymph vessels and act like filters to "clean" the lymph fluid. The purified lymph fluid rejoins the blood circulatory system at two points just below the collar bone.

The lymph fluid not only removes waste from the body's cells, it also carries nutrients, vitamins and hormones (the good stuff!) to the cells. This treatment ENHANCES electro-lipolysis by eliminating the melted fatty acids faster. This programme is computerised and uses a different current and frequency pattern.

Physiostimulation or tissue tightening

Physiostimulation sends signals to the muscle fibers telling them to contract, with no energy expended by the patient. It tones your muscles by mimicking exercise. A variety of programs are available that can target specific muscle groups such as the abdomen, buttocks, legs and back. Physiostimulation can also contract muscles in the chest area, toning and tightening these muscles - Women will see a firming and lifting of their breasts. Physiostimulation works deeper than EMS for more profound results with fewer treatments.
