Youth Educational Contests Rules

All entries must have rabbits as the central focus.

Youth may enter only one item in each class (for example, a youth member can enter one poster and one display).

Entries in poster, photography, creative writing, and arts and crafts must have been created in the 12 months prior to the show. These entries must be checked in at the Youth Educational Contest table by 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1.

Youth competing in best dressed bunny, showmanship, written test, and speaking must be signed up at the Youth Educational Contest table by 9:00 p.m. on April 1, and be present to compete on Saturday, April 2. Time and location for these contests will be posted at the Youth Educational Contest table.

Contests will be broken into age divisions for judging. Age will be determined as of April 1, 2005. Age divisions:

        Pre-juniors: up to age 8

        Juniors: ages 9 to 11

        Intermediates: ages 12 to 13

        Seniors: ages 14 to 18

Ribbons will be awarded by placement (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.), with a champion exhibit from each category, regardless of the age division (example, best photo from all photos, color and black and white).

Sweepstakes award will be given for each age division for overall most points in educational contests. Sweepstakes winners will be announced at the banquet on Saturday evening.

Please see specific contest information under each category.
