Belton and Temple are sister cities separated only by city limit signs located on Interstate 35 near the geographic center of Texas, approximately 135 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth and 55 miles north of Austin.

Belton's local topography varies from rolling plains to wooded hills, with two (2) large lakes just a ten-minute drive from I35.

Belton and Temple have various attractions for visitors of all ages, with numerous accommodations and restaurants to please a wide range of preferences.

The town of Salado, a secluded village just minutes from Belton, furnishes an incredible experience. Visit dozens of specialty shops where you will find everything from antiques and furniture, to china and pottery, to crafts and collectibles, as well as the latest in fashion. Dine at a quaint cafe, or stroll along the banks of the creek.
