My web site includes a little information about myself, my canine family, some breed specific information, tips on training dogs, the wonderful world of wolves, pet related stories and poetry, and links to some of my favorite places to visit on the Internet. I also have pages where I pay tribute to dogs I have loved and lost. I hope you will enjoy being here, where I have tried to share my passion for dogs and their cousins; the wolves.

A Little About Me

All my friends here on the Internet call me N2, which is short for my username; N2TCHNK9S (Into Teaching Canines). I am a dog obedience instructor at a local club, the Elmira K9 Club, where I live in New York. I volunteer my services to the community to help dog owners teach their companions good manners and hopefully prevent many dogs from ending up in shelters or, even worse, euthanized. I have been an instructor for about 20 years and I love the work, which is more pleasure than work for me. I also participate in competition dog obedience.

I have four dogs of my own; two chocolate Labrador Retrievers named "Sierra", and "Toby", a black one named "Raven", and a yellow one named "Cisco." As you can tell, I love Labs! My dogs are a part of my family. I hope you can find a few minutes to stop by "My Labs" page to read more about them.

I believe dogs can enrich most any family, as long as careful consideration and planning have been a part of making the choice to introduce one into a home. Treated with love and respect, a dog can bring many joys into a home. They will love their family unconditionally, and protect them from harm.

Although, I am partial to dogs; I have a great love for all animals. Whether you are more partial to cats, birds, or guinea pigs, the important thing is that you treat your pet with love.
