       The Chattahoochee swim season came to a close, but the Cougars refused to go quietly. With a robust and enthusiastic team, the Cougar swimmers collected some very praiseworthy placements at meets in the final stretch of their season.
       At the Metro Meet Feb. 1, where nearly 40 teams competed, the Cougar girls came in an exciting fifth place and the boys beat all the competition to achieve an outstanding first place. more...

Plamp and Ory score second at state

       In recent weeks the Cougar wrestlers finally made the cut. Each varsity team member shaved his head in a brilliant and shining display of team unity. The boys decided to go under the razor together in preparation for the region and state individual tournaments.

Gilbert tackles his future

       Football scholarship to Rice University. Leading tackler of the Chattahoochee football team.  Finished high school with a 3.7 GPA. These are all characteristic of Chattahoochee senior Jared Gilbert, who was recently recruited to Rice University.  Rice is a prestigious school in Houston, Texas, that features an NCAA football team that was named an all-WAC (Western Athletic Conference) team last season.  For Chattahoochee, Gilbert played both running back and linebacker. more...

Victory

   As the Chattahoochee varsity competition cheerleading squad took the floor at the State Finals in the Columbus Civic Center on Saturday, Feb. 8, the crowd exploded into a roaring and  uniform chant of “Hooch!
