"Ryan Boslet. Always a star. Forever young!" reads the sign at the front of Oxford Mill, Boslet's neighborhood. Christopher Ryan Boslet, known to most as Bos, at 6'4'' and 254 pounds achieved greatness all around.  On the football field, he was a leader and always maintained impressive statistics.  In the classroom, he was intelligent and had a knack for writing. On the social scene, he was a 'gentle giant' and had a powerful presence.  He liked playing video games and driving around with his friends.  Most importantly, he was a wonderful son and a brother. As a son Bos was a role model: loving, obedient, and caring.  He was also a protective big brother who treated his siblings like his own children, and always wanted the best for them.
On Feb. 20, this amazing young man's life was cut short during a routine running drill for pre-season football practice.  At about 7:20 a.m., Boslet collapsed and was rushed to North Fulton Regional Hospital. His family with him, and many of his teammates keeping vigil at the hospital, Boslet passed away around 9:20 a.m. from heart failure. The community has rallied together to offer emotional support to the Boslet family and mourn the death of this loving teenager by sending cards, flowers and condolences to their home.
If you knew Boslet for at least a few minutes, you would have a story about him to tell.  Everyone has a story that celebrates his life, many of them are below:

"One time this past summer we were at my house and we were all sitting on lounge chairs in my backyard. We heard this big yell coming out from the lake behind my house and we didn't realize what happened. Then Bos came running up with a big smile on his face and he had a three-inch fish on his pole. The hook and bait were longer than the guppy. He had the ability and intelligence to become a lawyer, but he'd laugh too much in the courtroom."
     -Mike Quinoy, Junior
"Bos and I were always partners in homeroom when we played UNO.  And we'd always win because we'd cheat together. It was pretty cool."
     -Richie Hameister, Junior
"He's a big friendly giant.  He was an offensive lineman and so big so he would never be able to score. But one time he picked up the ball on a fumble and scored. I've never seen a bigger smile on a kid's face before."
     -Alex Moser, Junior
"Ryan's eyes were always so big and sparkly. He would always laugh at my jokes so hard, even when they were really stupid."
     -Meredith Kohn, Junior
"I only had the pleasure of meeting Bos about two weeks ago. I was late for physics, as usual, and was making a mad dash to the H-hall when I didn't see this girl and flat-out tackled her. She was fine, but my books went flying across the hall and I fell flat on my face, literally. I kept sliding down the hallway until I ran into a giant teddy bear of a boy.  Bos looked at me, looked down the now silent hallway, and started cracking up laughing.  By the time he collected my books for me, I was laughing.  From that day on, whenever I saw him he would always yell out 'no running' and crack a huge smile, which was utterly contagious.  However brief our relationship was, I will never forget how he would always brighten my day."
     -Jessie Rachford, Senior
"We used to walk back from lunch with John and Bos on each side of me. He would squeeze me into a 'Megan sandwich' until I would fall forward or backward on my face."
     -Megan McNees, Junior
"He always wanted me to play Playstation with him. He's cool. I love him."
     -Chase Boslet, Third Grade
"One night over the summer he spent the night at my house and he was always the first one to fall asleep.  So we decided to play a prank on him and we put eyeshadow, mascara, and blush on him. Then we painted his toenails purple and we didn't have nail polish remover so he had to go to work the next day with purple toenails."
     -Larrisa Mychalczuk, Junior
"We were at the Gableman's house one night and he was starving.  Someone had just got back from Wendy's with totally burnt fries.  Next thing we know Bos was scarfing down all the black fries. He was just so hungry. He was like a teddy bear, like a gentle giant. He was shy around girls and stuff, but he was cool.  Never cocky."
     -John Hafferty, Junior
"Once I was riding in the car with Ryan and he turned the music down and said, 'Look, I'm on the radio!'.  I didn't understand what he meant.  The time was 8:05, and on a digital clock, 8:05 spells out 'BOS'."
     -Tommy Yacovella, Junior
"One day we were going through all of our CD's and picking out songs that described us.  We found my Bob Marley mix and we new right away that "Don't Worry, be Happy" described Bos perfectly. We listened to it through but then a few minutes later it came on the radio. Bos had the biggest smile on his face."
     -Philip Hudson, Junior
