The heart attack...

A few days after bringing Punkh home, we decided that we had to take him out of his cage for a while.  So we went into Rish's room closed the doors and opened the cage.  We expected Punkh to just fly out of there, but he just stood still until we took him out.  He stood and stared at us for a while...then turned examing the room and off he went right into the window!  We tried picking him up but he ran away only to get stuck in the radiator.  Poor Punkh only 2 months old stuck in a dark hot place!  I was screaming....Rish was moving the furniture to get to the radiator...and then finally the radiator opened, and out came Punkh...Rish quickly grabbed him and placed him in the cage!  We didn't take him out again for a long time...and when we did, the first thing we did was make sure the windows and the radiator were covered.

The Dance

I took Punkh home to my parents for the first time.  They absolutely loved him.  They would place him on a plant pot put on some hyper indian music and start bopping their head and singing.  After a while, I guess Punkh caught on and started bopping his head along with the songs.  It was the cutest thing.  Now he doesn't just bop his head for songs, but when he's really exicted in general or when he's proud of himself and trying to show off.   You can see his little dance in the videos section!

The Car Ride

Coming back one time from my parents place in Toronto.  I decided to take him out so he would feel more secure.  And also he could see the nice scenery.  Punkh baby who never ever flies and is very tame, decides that the car is his flying space and goes crazy.  I have a station wagon, and he decides to fly to the back of the car and just sit there, hiding in my laundry basket.  I was terrified, had no idea where he had gone, I kept screaming his name and he wasn't replying.  I was thinking oh my god what if he's gotten stuck somewhere!  I pulled over, carefully opened the trunk door making sure he doesn't fly away on the highway...and pushing things aside gently looked everywhere for him, with no result.  Until finally I hear his lil scared chirp coming from my clothes, I guess he had dug himself into my basket, he looked soo cute when I pulled my clothes up, just sitting there soo scared and happy to see me.  I got lots of kisses on the way back, and made sure never to take him out in the car again!
