Programs
This
is a collection of tools I've written to assist in the management of
Fanatasy Football and EA Sport's Madden Fooball leagues.

2003
Player Import (download
- 14K)
While the DraftDay program is
getting it's upgrades for 2003, feel free to continue using the 2002
version with the new roster file. Includes all of the VBD values you
need to evaluate players and allow the computer to draft as well.
Don't
like my projections? Change the values as you see fit and import it
into the program. Also remember that you can fill in team names under
the Keeper column to have them automatically flagged to the correct
team.
DraftDay2002
ver
1.3(download
- 2.1MB)
Update of the DraftDay toolset
for the 2002 season.
Create a league of owners, teams, and a default NFL player roster to
chart the round-by-round drafting of up to 12 Fantasy Football teams.
Use the VBD values in your roster and the built-in rulesets to suggest
or draft for owners who are unable to be there in person. (Not recommended
if you actually want a good team.)
Use those same rules to create and maintain multiple mock drafts using
the same default teams and players. Then save the whole thing down for
future study and sorting.

Feel
free to download the results of our league's draft completed on August
17th, 2002. Good sample of a 12-man keeper draft. (download
- 65k)

Program History
August
18, 2002 Initial Release
True release of the program. It currently includes all of the features
it needs to create a league, maintain multiple drafts, auto-draft for
players or conduct "mock" drafts, and export the draft results
to a comma delimited "csv" file for spreadsheet analysis.
Please report any bugs you find to the email below.
August
17, 2002 Beta Fixes
Fixed a bug with the "Give Player" button. Also added the
ability to assign a player to a team from the Default player list,
allowing for keepers to be set up and changed before a draft is created.
August
15, 2002 Final Beta Release
Fixed a few bugs, and added the ability to add and update players
within the program. Still has a bug when trying to load one league
over top of another. Don't do that. If you want to load a new league,
close the program and open it up again.
This will be the final release until next week, at which point, export
features will be added to drop any of your drafts into a spreadsheet
for sorting or printing. Any league files that you create now will
still work with the newer updates, so draft all you want.
August
10, 2002 Initial Beta Release
Initial beta release. A majority of the functionality is in place.
Minor issues to resolve. Expected completion date is Aug 14th. (A
few days before our draft.)
What's New:
-
Draft clock.
- Improved draft board.
- Maintain multiple drafts within the same league for those who wish
to conduct mock-drafts.
- Removed the custom owner rules as they were too confusing to most.
The auto-draft now uses a standard set of rules for everyone.
- Import of rosters and draft order.
June
2002 Under
Development
Still under development.
Feel free to email comments
and suggestions.

Features
include:
- Import features for roster and draftorder .csv spreadsheet files. Drop
your favorite cheatsheet information and current draft order into the
provided sample files and import them directly into the league file. The
program will handle the creation of the team names and players automatically,
including assigning keepers.
-
Variable draft clock to time the rounds. Set the number of minutes each
team receives, and start the countdown. Clock can be reset at the push
of a button, or paused by clicking the time.
-
Trade picks and players on the fly to handle any draft-day shenanigans.
Any player or pick may be assigned to any team during the draft, in case
someone decides to get creative and perform conditional trades.

- Color-coded
draftboard showing everyone at a glance who has sold themselves short
at a particular position.
-
Full sorting of players and picks by team, position, round, bye-week,
etc...
-
Completely resizeable draft window optimized for a 640x480 display. Useful
for laptops with video output to a bigscreen.
