Father's Day card. Techniques: Vellum resist, brayering. Stamps: Dragonfly by Magenta. Celtic Circle by JudiKins. Dad by Uptown.

Another Father's Day Card. Simple embossed cranes. Background made by weaving Marvy Metallics background with Black Glama Vellum. Stamps: Crane by JudiKins.

A sweet little House Mouse card painted in Radiant Pearls. Stamps: House Mouse by Stampa Rosa.

UTEE tile with the character "Eternity." The tile is inlaid with Magical Leaf Flakes and a little Egyptian Gold EP. Embossed "checker" background. Stamps: Eternity and Checker Background by Above the Mark.

Background made using "embossing ink" resist and brayering. Embossed plane in black and UTEE tile with compass. Bordered with copper foil and layered on dark green marble cardstock. Stamps: Postcard background, plane and compass all by Above the Mark.

A simple but effective design using an embossed "moth" stamp. Stamps: Moth by Above the Mark.

This samurai was embossed and painted in Radiant Pearls and embossed again with clear EP. Radiant Pearls were then used to make the background. Stamps: Samurai by Above the Mark.

UTEE crane layered on a Mizuhiki cord quadruple knot. Stamps: Crane by My Heart Stamps For You.

Another kimono card using a cute background stamp. Stamps: Japanese shoes by My Heart Stamps For You.

A geisha colored using Radiant Pearls. Stamps: Geisha by My Heart Stamps For You.

A more complicated geisha: The shoji screen was made using white vellum and clear EP resist/brayering. It was turned over and the shoji slats were made using a gold paint pen. The shoji was then bordered with gold foil and the geisha was embossed, painted with Radiant Pearls and layered using foam tape. Stamps: Geisha and Bamboo Sun by My Heart Stamps For You.

A beautiful geisha using Radiant Pearls on both the foreground geisha (attached with foam tape) and the stippled background. Stamps: Geisha by My Heart Stamps For You.

This project will be made in a class I'm giving. The heart frame is embossed in gold and the center removed. The vellum weave in the background is made with marvy metallics. The center heart is a part of the heart frame stamp. I put two different backgrounds behind the vellum weave so you can see the different effects. Stamps: Heart Frame by Ducks in a Row.

This is a vellum resist technique that was showcased in the most recent "Stamping Arts and Crafts" magazine. Stamps: Dove stained glass stamp by Unknown vendor. Willow Background stamp by Stamp Out Cute.

This is another card using the Moth stamp. I made a background with Marvy Metaillics, embossed 1/2 with gold EP and glued Beedz on the center dividing line. I stamped and embossed the moth 3 times, stippled on various colors of Radiant pearls and let dry. I mounted the background on red confetti CS and then adhered the moths to the card (the middle moth was mounted using foam tape to give more dimension). Stamps: Moth and Leaves Background by Above the Mark.

This project was inspired by a similar project in Sharilyn Miller's book "Stamp Art." I used copper metal/foil and stamped and embossed (black detail EP) the samurai. I then used a ball stylus and outlined the image. Outside of the outline, I made impressions in the copper using the ball stylus. I used deckle-edged scissors to finish the edge. On some black confetti cardstock, I made a background using copper EP and a chinese character stamp. I edged the cardstock with a Krylon leafing pen. I then made a UTEE tile and stamped the chinese characters into the hot tile and entwined it with thin copper wire. All this was mounted on some black CS and then some copper CS. Stamps: Samurai and Chinese Characters by Above the Mark.
