Resources Needed

·       digital cameras with zoom lens

·       classroom computers,

·          with internet access (A modification for students who cannot go out to the wild critters is to observe them at web cam sites.)

·         if no internet is available, teacher can do web research and put the sites in a folder on the classroom computers for the students to conduct their research from. (This has the benefit of keeping students on task and productive.)

·        Photoshop (software for digital imaging)

·       photographic paper

·        mats for photographs

This lesson can be taught by one teacher effectively. However, the addition of an aide or parent in the classroom could provide more opportunity for individual attention.

A class trip to view a local photography exhibit would further enhance the learning potential of this web quest.
