Domestic cats appear to have arrived in Japan from China or Korea at least one thousand years ago. The Japanese Bobtail breed has been featured in many ancient prints and paintings for many centuries. The Japanese Bobtail breed is divided into two divisions. The short haired division and the long haired division. Any color is allowed except the Siamese pattern or Abyssinian type agouti in both short hair and long hair coats. They have a tail that is not short like the Manx breed but not as long as a full tail. The tail length is somewhere in between. For more information CLICK on the link below.
