Daniel Osbourne was the epitome of cool. He was the lead guitarist for 'Dingoes Ate My Baby,' a popular band that played at the Bronze. He was also the boy who stole Willow Rosenberg's heart. Their fledgling relationship almost came to an abrupt end when Daniel, or Oz as he preferred to be called, was bitten by his cousin Jordy, who was a werewolf, and had been afflicted with the same transformation. The love of Willow and Oz persevered and became strong, until following graduation, Oz became mesmerised by a college girl he had met named Veruca, the lead singer of the band Shy. Veruca was in fact, a werewolf, hence Oz's attraction to her. Unable to resist, Oz gave in to the new feelings of lust, and when Willow discovered them, she attempted to curse them both with a spell. Veruca attacked her, but was killed by Oz. Unable to cope with his curse, Oz left Sunnydale and Willow behind to search for a cure. He returned months later, in limited control of his abilities and attempted to win Willow back. Unfortunately, Willow had moved on and fallen in love with Tara. Oz's anger resulted in him losing control and transforming into a werewolf, and unable to cope with Willow's new lifestyle, he left Sunnydale for whereabouts unknown.
