Violence in the Media: What’s the deal?
http://cherielll.hypermart.net

This site goes beyond the censorship movement prevalent in music and extends it to all media, in particular, television.  Set up in much the same format as mine, it includes an analysis, theory, implications, and more.  This site believes the problem with violence on television is that children do not realize the consequences of the violence when a character on TV gets away with murder, ext.  Subsequently youth becomes desensitized to violence.  This site proclaims that if children were educated about violence, then the problem between the pro-censorship coalitions and the free speech clubs would cease to exist.  A proposed solution includes adding violence education to curriculums in grade schools.  To find out more, visit http://cherielll.hypermart.net!

Napster Controversy
http://server43.hypermart.net/bigforkjames/index.htm

This site involves banning music, but focuses on the morality and legality of “sharing” music free of charge through the medium of the Internet.  Napster is a file-sharing program that enables its members to directly exchange copyrighted music amongst computers.  Should this be illegal?  The debate is now in courts hands, but this site suggests two possible solutions from the perspective that file-sharing technology is here for good, and banishment of it would prove nearly impossible.  Therefore, the site suggests, we should work with the technology to create a solution that works for both sides.  The first solution involves charging a small amount of money, such as a dime for each file shared.  This would not cost each member much, but, considering the sheer volume of transactions each day, Napster would earn millions, of which some of the profits would go to artists.  A possible second solution involves disabling the shared files ability to be saved or recorded onto rewriteable CDs.  For more information, visit http://server43.hypermart.net/bigforkjames/index.htm!

National Democratic Party
http://scottscrib.hypermart.net

The National Democratic Party is gaining popularity in Germany.  Hidden behind it’s mask of political correctness are negative sentiments towards Jews and foreigners reminiscent of the Nazis.  The NDP also affiliates itself with fascist and anti-semantic organizations, such as The Alliance.  This web sight explores the party’s right to exist in Germany, along with the implications of a possible and fast approaching ban of the NDP.  A ban of this party would show hypocrisy on the part of the German government.   Find out why informing the public and placing limits on the party instead of an absolute abolishment is the solution to this current controversy at http://scottscrib.hypermart.net!
