Stanley arrived in the USA in May 1902 with his parents, Andreas & Maryanna, brother, Francis and sister, Valeria.  They moved across Pennsylvania, stopping in the town of Force and working the mines for 2 years before coming to Bay City where an uncle already lived.

Frances was born of Stephan & Anna (Bureiza) Kolasa in Bay City, the child of middle of 7 sisters and an older brother.  She met her husband there and they were married in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church.

Stanley moved his wife and first child to Detroit in 1917 to earn a better living as a steamfitter.  Stanley worked on the shipping docks at first and used the name LASKE to sound less Polish.  He later worked for the Dodge brothers in their plant and on their yacht. Stanley had all 3 sons working at Dodge when he retired.
