| Chester met Stephanie at St. John the Evangelist Church in Detroit where he was an usher and then the Church had a dance where he cut in on her and her girlfriend. They built a brick bungalow on Rogge St. in Detroit, north of 7 Mile Rd and west of Van Dyke. They soon sold the house and the family moved to Lyford Ave. while Chester was in the army. later moving to Center Line in 1948. The couple moved to Slidell, Louisiana in 1961 and then to St. Louis in 1969 and finally back to Michigan in 1970. |
