BACKGROUND

I come off a small family settled in the capital city of a state comforted in the lap of Nature: Tripura. The small town is called Agartala. It is a lovely place, though small bordered by the alien country Bangladesh. The scenic beauty of the town used to beckon handsome number of tourists at one time; though the recent years has marred a lethal blow to the state- thriving tourism industry owing to insurgency problems. The chief tourist attractions of the state are the Ujjayanta Palace, Unokoti, Neermahal, Sipahijala, Pilak, Doomboor Lake, Kasba etc. Fruit and handicraft industries suffice a lot of the state income.

That was with my parental residence. Currently I am staying in Bhopal, the capital of the state Madhya Pradesh. My parents are, though, staying at Agartala where both my Mamma and Babu are working in the public sector. My Dad is an IAS (Indian Administrative Service), currently the Addl. Secretary of the Finance Dept. While my Mom is a teacher in Physics at one of the best schools of Tripura: Shishu Bihar.

We are a family of three only: and our personally owned home is located near Indranagar, around 4-5 kms from the main city. It draws a 3 bedroom, drawing-cum-dining bunglow type ambience with a beautiful green lawn and a lovely flower garden. My Dad used to be passionate about a small vegetable garden too, and that is why the rear of our house lays it out too! Since Dad hardly gets time to be into gardening these days owing to his hectic office schedule, the orderly at our home looks after his tastes.

From my very childhood I have been brought up in a rather cosmopolitan environment despite staying in   cut off and neglected region of India. My Dad had always keep be aware of what was going on around the world: be it academic, political, economic or social. My late Grandmom and my Dad had even lent me insights into the mythological facet of life: stories from the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

As I grew up, my Mom took care that I am doing well with my studies. Coming first since the very nursery time automatically made it a point on my part that I evolved I desire in me to come off to be the topper every time. And it was made feasible too! All the credit to my great parents! I wish every child has a parent of this kind.

Today I am in the Final year of my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science; and I owe to my parents whatever I am today. And I believe I had been able to live up to their expectations. USA is my dream and a decent call from a decent US university my next target. Hope I will never let them falsify their wishes.

Just a perrenial flow of their blessings as well as of all my respected teachers, Dibyendu Sir, Saroj Sir, Swapan Sir, Mohor Sir, Anil Goswami; along with all others associated with my success (and of course my failures too, for there can't be any success without failures!), is all what I need more in life. For, I know, should I possess them, I can be the winner for ever and ever...
