New to the mudding scene? Welcome :-)

MUD's are all-text games. There are some exceptions out there, but they are few and far between. What this means is that everything that happens in the game is described to you with text, not pictures or sound. (Although some MUD's support in-game sound.) MUD's are Telnet-based games, so almost any Windows user can play.

It can be quite overwhelming, all that text. Let me see if I can clear some up for you. One important thing you have to remember... you don't have to read everything that appears on your screen. Learn to look for the important lines of text. Things like "OUCH! That really hurt!" or "The giant aggressive scary monster has arrived." should draw your attention.

The Basics - Basic commands, how you play the game, what you need to play the game.

Classes - The various classes of RotJ and how they are normally played.

Attributes - The various numbers which in essence makes up your character.

A few areas - Places to go looking for something to kill.

FAQ - Frequently asked questions. I simply sat and waited for questions to appear on the Question channel in the game.

Planet list - The planets you may find in the game.

Zone guide - There is only one in here at the moment, more to follow.

Newbie questing - The quests and the eq that you can get as a low level character by doing the quests available 2up from port.
