Me, me, me

MUD-related me

Teldae - Pirate, Non-subbed Pilot

Cedoro - Mercenary, Non-subbed Pilot

I have been playing this mud for six years now. I started playing when everybody was PK, and the damroll system was still in place. I had a Legend 4 Rebel back then, also named Cleaner. I don't like looting PK, never have, never will. Plain old dueling or PK for fun is acceptable.

My brother also plays RotJ, look for a mook named Arenahr or KhuNakhti. :p

The way I play

The more mobs you can kill in a specified amount of time, the more xp you will gain. If you can kill harder mobs without too much trouble, and it takes a little longer, no sweat, the xp should be worth it. However, if you have to flee/heal and go again on the same mob more than 2 ticks, it's not worth the effort. The xp will most probably not measure up to killing a lot of smaller mobs in the same time. Forcing eq is an entirely different matter. With eq, all that matters is that the mob ends up dead.

I generally make money by selling ships to Crash on Bakura. I'm not yet in a position to force load powerful eq and auction it, which is another fine way of making money.

In my opinion, you can gain space xp faster than land. You just need a decent ship to get you started. So either spend space xp on land stats to give yourself a boost when you switch over to land leveling, or become a spacer first and get settled with cash and stats, then it will be easy to purchase land eq off auction to ease the transition from space to land. :-)

My opinion on matters

If I can't use something, I can't auc it or sell it to a shop for good cash, it's getting donated. I only junk purely worthless items. Note that this does not apply to items that I know are good salvage :p

I don't like comparing classes. Period. The only exception to this is when somebody has to pick a subguild, then I'll gladly explain the difference between the two. Once again, not compare the two. Explain the difference. I don't like people going "Yeah my **** will kick your ****'s ass!" Some classes are better than others at certain scenarios. Each class is suited to a task.

This part of the site is not MUD-related. It's all about the real ME!

My real name is Pieter Rabie, and I live in South Africa. I'm 24, born 5 June, 1981. I prefer not to permanently (or temporarily) damage my body for something that passes in a few seconds or minutes. Therefore I don't smoke, drink, do drugs or get stoned.

Getting hold of me would be best accomplished via email. I don't regularly ICQ or MSN, and I'm not on AIM at all.
I am Afrikaans, but fluent in English, as you might see, and I speak a teeny weeny little bit of Zulu.
I'm 1,895m tall. Erm, yeah. So is my dad. My brother is slightly taller. You wanted to know that I'm sure.
I love dogs, birds, rabbits and horses. Although I've never ridden a horse in my life. And I'm joking about the rabbits. One bit me when I was 2, and that is in fact the earliest thing in my life that I can remember. Come to think of it, I'm not that crazy about birds either... I'll stick to liking dogs, we have two :-)

What do I look like?

I look kinda like this.

I am lactose intolerant. This means no dairy products, or I get heavy sinus/cold attacks. Generally the intolerance thing is going well, I just get the odd day where everything goes wrong and then my sinuses clog up. Not fun.

I don't do much in the line of sports, but I joined our local Rugby/Squash club for the squash part. Hope I get fit or something while having fun hehe. So far I've lost a kilogram, not that I wanted or needed to, but hey, that's a good thing right?

I have been accepted into the South African Air Force for pilot training. Training starts May 2005. *update: I'm typing this the day before I'm leaving for Basic Training* My mudding career will be on hold and my brother will have to take over this site. He doesn't know that yet though heh. Hope he knows how to build sites...
