This year we are trying something new - a required reading list.  For first grade?  Yes!  Please buy or borrow the following books for your child:
1st quarter-September:  It's Pumpkin Time by, Zoe Hall
2nd quarter-January:  One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by, Dr. Seuss
3rd quarter-March:  Frog and Toad are Friends by, Arnold Lobel
4th quarter-April:  Henry and Mudge and the Forever Sea by, Cynthia Rylant

We thank you in advance for your support in the enhancement of our first grade reading program!

We collect classroom fees once a year, in the 1st semester.  The fees are used to purchase reading workbooks for books 1-5 to enhance the reading curriculum and a personal word book that will help your child with all writing assignments (we write a lot in Room 102!)  We also purchase a Weekly Reader for your child.
We take many field trips in Room 102!  You will receive a field trip note that will inform you of the cost of each trip.  Field trip fees are in addition to the classroom fees.
