| Friday
is a special day for us. Every
Friday we take our Friday Folders home. Inside these special folders
our parents can see all of our work for the week. They will also
find a weekly progress report. This report tells them about our behavior.
All parents are asked to look through the graded papers. Any papers
marked "fix" should be looked at carefully, and all mistakes should be
corrected. Parents are then asked to sign the progress report and
to put the progress report along with any "fixed" papers back into the
folder. The final step is to sign one of the boxes on the front cover
of the folder, and to return the folder to school on Monday. Folders
are collected Monday morning, and a sticker is placed in the box on the
cover if it has been signed. The entire process is then repeated
on Friday. This keeps home-to-school communication open, and it helps
parents see what their first grader needs to work on. |
