LAST WEEK PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SUNDAY JANUARY 12th 2007 - JOEL VILLAFUERTE
Arguably the savior of the game, JOEL struck net when we needed it most converting a second half penalty to tie the game 1-1 vs the best team in the league (undefeated and only scored on 4 times before the babies showed up).  Playing both offensive and defensive roles Joel contributed his 100+ effort to getting a result against Hammocks
SUNDAY JANUARY 12th 2007 - OLIVER MENDOZA
Voted as second player of the game by 6 out of 15, out voting Jeffrey and Michael Posada by 4 each, Oliver was awarded player of the game for his performance against HAMMOCKS, the best team in the league.  Perhaps being the most fouled player in the game along with Camilo trailing in fouls conceded, Oliver did his best trying to create opportunites up and down the left flank and doing his best to assist Jeffrey, our best defender, fend off Hammocks' offense from nearing Mike Posada's goal.

PRE SEASON PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
SUNDAY JANUARY 7th 2007 - MICHAEL POSADA
SUNDAY JANUARY 7th, 2007 - JOEL VILLAFUERTE
After Oli's send off Joel was left in command of the team and stepped up with much determination pressuring SKS on both halves of the field and providing tons of scoring opportunities to Alex and Max thourghout the game despite being down by 2 goals.
SUNDAY DECEMBER 16th, 2006 - ALEX BAILON
After a good week of practice honing shooting, dribbling and throw-in skills, Bailon clicked and was making plays up and down the field weaving in and out of 442's defense and managed to keep up perfect effort even on his weaker left side. Much improvement shown
SATURDAY DECEMBER 16th, 2006 - MICHAEL POSADA
SUNDAY DECEMBER 10th, 2006 - GLENN MEHLE
SATURDAY DECEMBER 9th, 2006 - OLIVER MENDOZA
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 4TH, 2006 - ALEX MARUYAMA -
LOTS OF HEART AND SORROW ON THE LOOK OF ALEX'S FACE AFTER THE DISSAPOINTING LOSS TO CORAL GABLES EVENTHOUGH IT WAS CLEAR THAT THE MIDFIELD JUST WAS NOT GETTING HIM THE BALL TO WORK WITH... WITH THE FEW CHANCES THAT HE HAD, HE MANAGED TO SPRINT A WHOLE 30 YARDS AND WAIT FOR SUPPORT TO SETUP A GOOD CHANCE AND HE EVEN HAD 2 SHOTS ON GOAL WITH ONE BEING OFFISIDES.
SATURDAY DECEMBER 2ND, 2006 - IAN VIDAL
Away from home and without his family in the crowd and after a rough week, Ian never gave up.  Stopping over 3 1v1 opportunities from Key Largo, Ian was bossing that 18 yard box like it was HIS.  Perhaps the best of his saves were when Key Largo entered his left side of the 18' and fired off a rocket towards the far post, Ian made a spectacular diving save to parry it away with one hand.  Less than a handful of players were even considered for player of the game, but with Ian there was no contest.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 18TH, 2006 - JOEL VILLAFUERTE
THE BEST PLAYER UNDOUBTEDLY ON THE FIELD THAT DAY.  DEFENDING AND ATTACKING THE OTHER TEAM WAS NO MATCH FOR HIM.  JOEL PINNED DOWN THE OFFENSE WITH CROSSING, SHOOTING AND COUNTLESS STEALS.  HE GAVE THE PASS TO ALEX WHICH LATER LED TO THE 2ND GOAL AND THEN CHIPPED THE BALL INTO SPACE FOR ADRIAN TO SCORE THE 3RD GOAL.  A TRUE THREAT.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 18TH, 2006 - MICHAEL POSADA
APPARENTLY WANTING TO SHOW HIS TRUE COLORS MICHAEL PLAYED LIKE NEVER BEFORE, WINNING THE MAJORITY OF HIS 50/50'S, BODYING OUT DEFENDERS, GETTING THE BALL TO THE CENTER AND EVEN MANAGED TO NAIL A SHOT AT THE KEEPER BUT THE BALL WAS LATER SCOOPED UP.  PLAYED VERY WELL AND VERY CONSISTENT.  FIRST GAME MICHAEL VARIED HIS ATTACK, THREATENED BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE.
SATURDAY NOVEMBER 4TH, 2006 - IAN VIDAL
ALTHOUGH THE TEAM LET 3 GOALS AGAINST, IT WAS IAN'S HARD WORK AND QUICK REFELEXES THAT SAVED THE TEAM FROM AN EVEN MORE EMBARRASING RESULT HAD HE NOT MADE THE ENOURMOUS SAVES HE DID.
SLIDE TACKLES AND LOOSE BALLS WERE ALL ACCOUNTED FOR BY THIS PLAYER, AND A MUCH IMPROVED EFFORT SHOWN.
