Essay #2
With the help of industrial kitchen machinery, such as a deep fryer and a flat top grill, a fine and tasty burger and fries can fill that empty stomach. Although it may seem easy and quick, safety plays a very important factor.
Usually, when grilling a burger, grease from both the patty and what is left over on the grill can become hazardous as it pops and sizzles, causing first or second degree burns on the hands and arms. Although it may be inevitable to dodge, keeping a close eye on what is at hand could keep the burn ratio down. The same safety issue bust be taken seriously when using a deep fryer. The oil used to fry such items as fries, hushpuppies, and mazzarella sticks, is kept at a steady temperature of four hundred degrees, and touching it is not all too enjoyable.
Now to begin the process, a handful of frozen fries, maybe more, depending on how hungry you are, must be pulled from the freezer and then carefully placed inside the fryer basket. But don't drop the basket intot he fryer just yet, because next, a thawed hamburger patty must be retrieved from the fridge and placed on the grill.
Some like the hamburger without seasoning, but to get the full flavor of the meat, shake a small amount of Mrs. Dash on both sides of the patty. Now, once the patty is placed on the grill, flatten it slightly with a spatula, to allow the meat to evenly cook. At this point, the fries can be dropped into the fryer and a time can be set for a maximum of four minutes. Some might even want the fries to be cooked longer so as to ahve a crispier texture.
Once this is done, attention must be diverted back to the burger where it will be time to flip it over, so the other side might be cooked too. Once flipped, grab a plate and a hamburger bun. Open the bun, and on the bottom half place any toppings that are preferred. Such toppings might be lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Some might even like mayonnaise. At this point, the burger can be flipped again and a slice of cheese, if preferred, can be placed on the patty. Allow the burger to cook just a few more moments before removing it from the grill and set it gently on the bun. Complete it with the top half of the bun and the hamburger is complete. By this time, the fries should be complete and the timer should be going off. So, pull the fryer basket up and allow the excess grease to drain from the fries. Once the drainage finishes, drop the fries on the plate.
Now a tasty plate of hamburger and fries can be consumed. Enjoy with a thirst quenching soda and a little ketchup for the fires.
