Because Mr. Belvedere ratted out
on Wesley cheating on his history test and thus losing his new dog, Wesley
rats out on Mr. Belvedere to the Department of Immigration. Bad news for
Mr. Belvedere who is in the country without a green card.

- DEPORTATION, PART 2
Everybody pitches in to help Mr.
Belvedere stay in the country. George could adopt Mr. Belvedere as his
son, or he could marry an American. But Mr. Belvedere rebuffs all offers
and decides to defend himself personally. He fails and gets deported. He
is able to return months later after applying for a visa legally.

- THE THIEF
Heather gets a job at a record store
but runs into problems when her boyfriend Mark abuses their relationship
by lifting stuff from the store without paying for them. She later breaks
up with him. In the meantime, Mr. Belvedere cheats Wesley at cards because
he cannot seem to win. A guilt ridden Mr. Belvedere bakes a cake for Wesley
to make amends.

- GRANDMA
Wesley forms a friendship with Grandma
Eunice, a senior citizen who is later to be found suffering from Alzheimer's
disease.

- DEBUT
After George
survives an electrical shock when his TV fell into the tub, he decides
to change his life by becoming a lounge singer. Convinced that it is a
bad move, Mr. Belvedere asks the help of Robert Goulet to discourage George.
George is undeterred however, and proceeds with his debut at the Steeltown
Inn. The episode ends with a rousing number from Robert Goulet and Marsha,
who turns out to have a wonderful singing voice. Wish we could say the
same for George!

- BABY
Marsha is depressed
at the prospect at getting pregnant once again. She is currently finishing
law school and she feels a pregnancy will set her back again, just like
she was when Wesley was born. Unfortunately, Wesley overhears his mother
say this and runs away from home. Detailed Summary.

- KEVIN'S DATE
Being a virgin
at 18 is driving Kevin crazy so he decides to take out Paula Sweeney, a
girl known for being easy. Kevin is his usual nice self and treats Paula
good. It convinces Paula that Kevin is genuinely interested in her, not
just for sex. Needless to say, nothing happens.

- HALLOWEEN
Belvedere undergoes
cataract surgery and the fact that his body is failing him depresses him.
Wesley cures him by taking him trick or treating and Mr. Belvedere goes
nuts. In the meantime, George is invited to join the Happy Guys of Pittsburgh
but backs off when the initiation rites has strange satanic overtones.

- PILLS
Marsha confiscates
a bottle of diet pills which turns out to be amphetamines from Heather,
telling her daughter that taking them is bad. But when Marsha encounters
difficulty in studying because she is often tired and sleepy, she takes
a couple of pills and gets addicted to them, causing strain not only between
her and Heather, but also with the rest of the family.

- REUNION
George attends
his High School reunion with Mr. Belvedere and meets up with Donna Flanigan,
the prom queen and his old crush. Flattered that she remembers him, George
and Donna almost have an affair.
Donna Flanigan
is played by Lee Meriwther who played "Catwoman" in the 60's Batman with
Adam West.
Small Wonder
Connection!
This is
the first of the many connections this show has to another sitcom, Small
Wonder. Penny Nichols is played by Edie Mclurg who played Bonnie Brindle
in Small Wonder.

- THE SPELLING BEE
When the family
realizes they have problems managing their finances, they get Mr. Belvedere
to handle it for them. Mr. Belvedere bans credit cards and puts the family
on a "strict financial diet". After a week, the family can't take it anymore
and forces Mr. Belvedere to give back their credit cards. In the meantime,
Wesley enters a spelling contest and Cindy, his main competitor, pretends
to befriend Wesley so she can win the contest.

- THE TICKET
When Mr. Belvedere
complains that he needs a raise saying he does more than cleaning, George
restricts him to just cleaning and cooking and bans him from giving his
usual advice to eveyone who has a problem. Needless to say, the family
soon falls apart. Wesley is blackmailing Heather, Kevin and Marsha fight.
Mr. Belvedere relents and resumes giving his advice.

-COLLEGE BOUND
Kevin wants to go to college outside
of Pitssburgh to get away. Kevin is disappointed when he is
informed by his parents could not afford it. As a concession, George
and Marsha agree to loosen up the rules in the house. Kevin shows them
what a bad idea it is by bringing home Wendy to sleep in his room. In the
meantime, Mr.Belvedere is given the task of teaching Heather to drive much
to the horror of Mr. Belvedere.

- INKY
To finally
get a dog, Wesley pretends that his pet hamster died and makes a pretty
big issue out of it to the point of burying a plastic hamster making believe
it was the real INKY. Taking pity on their son, George and Marha buy Wesley
a dog but torn by guilt when the real INKY dies, Wesley gives the dog away.

- JOBLESS
George swallows
his pride and goes to get his welfare check after being fired. He manages
to save a woman from being victimized outside the the unemployment office.
The ensuing media attention makes George uneasy when his state of affairs
are announced to the whole Pittsburgh area, especially when well-meaning
people drop off relief goods at their doorstep.

- THE CRUSH
When Kevin
takes Angela to a concert, she falls in love with Kevin and practically
throws herself at him. Having no other feelings other than physical for
any girl, Kevin has enough respect for Angela to refuse her feelings. In
the meantime, Wesley and Mr. Belvedere camp in the backyard.

- THE COMPETITION
When George
defeats Kevin in arm wrestling, Kevin takes it seriously and decide to
train and work out intensely so that he can beat his father which he eventually
does. Heather meets a boy who is so "innocent" that he hasn't yet learned
to like girls. When Heather asks if he is gay, he starts to believe that
he is.

- THE CADET
Wesley is sent
to military school by George when his misbehavior goes into overdrive.
It backfires when Wesley becomes too stiff and impersonal months afterwards.
He later reveals that he misbehaved because he wanted attention from his
father.

- KEVIN'S OLDER WOMAN
Kevin finally
loses his virginity when he meets and dates Sharon, an older woman. When
George and Marsha forbid Kevin to see her again, Kevin rebels and decides
to leave and move in with Sharon but is crushed when she refuses and says
it was not as serious to her as it was to him.

- THE AUCTION
At an auction at school, Mr. Belvedere's services for one day are bought
by an old lonely woman. At the end of the day she refuses to let him go
and drugs him and ties him up so he will stay.

- SEPARATION
George and
Marhsa decide to separate when differences arise between them brought about
by George's unemployment and Marsha's total committment to law school.
This episode
includes a whole bunch of guest star cameos who Mr. Belvedere recruited
to convince George to reconcile with Marsha. They include Susan Anton,
Dr. Joyce Brothers, Edwin Newman, Bubba Smith and Tony Danza.

- THE MOGUL
Wesley puts
up a company that hires out kids composed of his friends to do jobs around
the neighborhood. Wesley gets drunk with power and he alienates his friends
including Miles. Mr. Belvedere puts a stop to it by inciting a strike.
