The need in Haiti is great. There is a huge need for books, school supplies, more schools and orphanages, medical supplies and even food and personal items. Lisa Parker of Monterey, Tennessee had a vision to send needed supplies to the orphanage and church members. She started taking donations of shoes and clothes. She soon had a warehouse full! Her family acquired 55 gallon barrels, packed the goods in them and sent them to Miami where they were loaded on a boat and taken to Haiti. Since then, several other shipments have been made to Haiti including some medical supplies. It is like Christmas when the barrels arrive. One 90 year old man was led 10 miles by his wife to receive a pair of shoes!

Rev. Steven Clagg, Principal of a Christian School in New Brunswick, Georgia, visited Haiti. When he saw the protruding stomachs of the children due to malnutrition, he became so burdened he came back to the states and within weeks had large baking ovens donated for Mountain Faith Mission. The ovens can produce 48 loaves of bread every 20 minutes and will save many lives. Each day our school children receive bread and peanut butter. The mission has also started fish ponds in hopes to provide fish for our church members to eat.
