Oil pastels
Inspired by a portrait / painting. I really enjoyed using the oil pastels as they were very easy to blend. I like how these blues and purples convey a strangely warm yet depressing mood.

this drawing was done rather quickly and spontaneously one day. She looks like a combination of a water / sylvan nymph or goddess, a form of Medusa, and an Amazonian warrior.

This drawing was inspired by some articles I had read about the universe, matter / energy and nature. Particularly, these articles referred to the connection between all matter and life in the universe.

the mermaid's flight symbolises hope and freedom. I was partly inspired by the story, The Little Mermaid. But my main motivation was to produce a work that empathises with others in the various hardships they may encounter in life.
