'Carmilla', 2000.
pen, highlighter on paper.
inspired by the 1960 version of the vampiric film, Carmilla. I didn't like this pic when i first drew it, but i've grown more attached to it ever since.
'Elizabeth', 1999(?)_
pencil on paper.
from the video cover for the film Elizabeth, starring Cate Blanchett. I loved this photo of her, especially her expression and pose. the pearl earrings were a lovely addition. my favourite part: her eyelashes!
'Dead Rose', 1998.
pencil on paper.
yes, it's really a drawing of a dead rose that i had in front of me. i thought it looked quite realistic, and i still remember how much of my mind i put into creating this. a very therapeutic artwork.
'Euphoria', 1996.
pencil on paper.
one of my earliest drawings in pencil, it also lacks alot of skill. but i can't bear to part with it.
'Mike Patton',1999.
pencil drawing.
my drawings became more 'realistic' and i started to enjoy putting all those details in which came with realism. this drawing is of the photo in F.N.M's final best of album, Who Cares Alot, on the eve of their split. When i look at this pic i remember their last concert in sydney and mike's veins practically popping out of his red, sweaty neck as he screamed the crowd into a frenzy. it was a great time indeed.
'Fool', 1997.
In the same vein as Elves. to me, very unique. I am astounded by the way i use to draw and how much i took it for granted. (i.e. i thought they were okay-crappish)
'Lestat', 2000.
pencil drawing.
Another fine result of my affair with realism. i think my art teacher thought he was handsome. (until I reminded her that he's a vampire)
