| Track 13: Leper's Logic |

| Notes Let me quote Leviticus 13:40 to you, from the New American Standard--the best translation out there. And I quote: "Now if a man loses the hair of his head, he is bald; he is clean." Okay, sometimes moron is to blame for its lyrics, but not this time: I couldn't make this stuff up. The entire 59-verse-long chapter 13 of Leviticus is about leprosy. And the 57-verse-long chapter 14 is about cleansing for the leprous. Ok, let me give it to you NIV style: just because a dude's got a chrome dome don't mean he's a leper. And from Matthew 8:2, 3. "...a leper came to Him...saying, 'Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean....And He [Jesus] stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, 'I am willing; be cleansed.' " Now you can understand--maybe--the leper's kinda faulty logic. The following are some phrases that I wanted to work into the recording but could not: * No pain, no Rogaine. * A follicle and his money are soon parted. * La Cage aux Follicles When I wrote this song, I think that I had already purchased the airline tickets to go out to see Doug to have the CD mixed and mastered. I was going for filler. Fill up all of the "space" on the CD. Why I decided to peruse Leviticus for material is beyond me. The phony BGVs (background vocals) were the only piece of this entire album performed and recorded at Doug's studio. We deleted a keyboard track that I had recorded in my studio, and we recorded the bogus choruses aaahhhing the same notes. I played; Doug recorded. |
