Other Characters: Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon

This page is for those characters that most people call "minor" but I prefer to say that they just got less screen time. They're just as important as Usagi or any of the "main" characters. They deserve acknowledgment. Beside, I like them the most.

Naru (Molly) is Usagi's best and closest friend. She gets attacked by monsters a lot, but Sailor Moon always comes to rescue her. She fell in love with Nephlyte, one of Queen Beryl's four generals. She showed him what love was, but Zoisite killed him before they got to know each other. Later Naru went out with Umino. She thinks he's a little weird, but she likes him for his silliness. She, like most "minor" characters, fades away into the background.

Umino (Melvin) is one of Usagi's class mates. He is very smart likes and prune sundaes (yuck. gross). He's also a nerd, to put it lightly. Umino fell in love with Usagi at the beginning of the show, even though she made it clear that she didn't want to go out with him. Later in the show, he fell in love with Naru instead and always shows his devotion. He will pretty much do anything for her and can act very ridiculous. Once he even got a costume and called himself "Tuxedo Umino"

Miss Haruna teaches one of the second year classes (8th grade) at Crossroads Junior High. She has Umino, Naru, and Usagi as her students. Later in the year Ann joined her class, too. Miss Haruna has a temper, and wasn't that happy about becoming a teacher. So, she tends to take her anger out on her class, especially on Usagi. But Usagi tends to goof off anyway, by sleeping or eating during class. Miss Haruna enjoys to go out on dates, and sometimes will prioritize dates over teaching. As the show went on Miss Haruna faded into the background since Usagi, Naru, and Umino graduated from her class.

Motoki (Andrew) works at the local arcade that Usagi loves to go to. He is also good friends with Darien. Usagi and Matoko both got a crush on him, but it turns out he has a girlfriend named Rita who went to Africa. Motoki was really crushed when she left, but Matoko still flirted with him. He has a little sister named Lizzy that shows up later in the series.

Rei's Grandfather runs the temple at Cherry Hill. He took Rei in after she refused to live with her father when her mother died. He and Rei are in constant argument, both being extremely stubborn people. Usually he is yelling at her for not doing her chores. He is desperate to find a helper at his temple, but most of the girls are either scared of him or don't really want to do it. In the Japanese version he was shown as a pervert, and this is why some of the girls were scared of him. Rei's Grandfather was a keeper of a rainbow crystal, and was shown to have a lot of power. Once he managed to stop Zoisite from taking his rainbow crystal, which surprised him a lot, but he eventually got it from him. He had a much larger role at the beginning of the series, but his role eventually disappeared. He currently trains Yuuichiro to take care of the temple one day.

Yuuichiro (Chad) is the struggling musician who showed up on Rei's temple steps one day and immediately fell in love with her. He started to train under Rei's grandfather, so he could get over stage fright. However, Rei firmly says that he can't sing, and will chase after him if he does. He is also a very good skier. Yuuichiro will do anything for Rei, but Rei doesn't exactly have the same feelings for him. but that they are just friends.

Urawa (Greg) was a keeper of a rainbow crystal, and also had special powers that would let him see into the future. Because of this, he knew the answers to exams (I want that power!), Sailor Mercury's identity, and that Zoisite would one day come after him for his rainbow crystal. Urawa also had a crush on Ami (bad taste). He felt she was kind, very smart, and that he didn't deserve her. Usagi found out his crush and managed to get them together. They didn't really stay together, though, since his father got a new job and he moved away again. Ami seemed to use this as an excuse, since she was too shy to actually go and visit him. When Beryl tried to revive the rainbow crystal holders again, Sailor Mercury came and saved Urawa, and Ami told her true feelings for him. They were pretty much boyfriend and girlfriend after that, even though he didn't appear in any episodes afterwards. How romantic...

Usagi's mother is a housewife, and enjoys to shop and reading magazines. She gets very annoyed when Usagi comes home with a bad test grade. She's afraid that Usagi will flunk out of school. She wasn't that surprised when she found out she was going out with a college student (unlike her father), and wanted to invite him to dinner.

Usagi's father works as a photographer. He doesn't like it when Usagi and Shingo fight. He is very protective of Usagi, and was very surprised when he found out she was going out with a college student.

Shingo (Sammy) is Usagi's little brother. He loves to play video games. Once, he considered Sailor V to be his role model but now Sailor Moon is his favorite. Shingo loves to tease and fight with his big sister. He is the first to tell her if she'd done something wrong, and will usually explain why. Shingo goes to the elementary school with his girlfriend, Mika.

Mika is Shingo's girlfriend. Her mother was a talented doll maker and she was expected to follow in her mother's footsteps. At least that's what I was told, I haven't seen Sailor Moon in over two years. Anyways. Back to Mika. She isn't very important and after playing a small role goes away. For-ev-er.

Momoko (Melissa) is Chibi Usa's best friend (similar to Usagi's friendship to Naru). They both are in the same class at school and Momoko welcomed Chibi Usa on her first day. Chibi Usa calls her Momo-chan.

Queen Serenity was Sailor Moon's mother, who originally lived and ruled in the Moon Kingdom. She was described as a wise and gentle ruler, and said to love her daughter very much. When Queen Beryl attacked her kingdom, Queen Serenity locked the souls of her daughter, the Sailor Senshi, Tuxedo Mask, and the rest of the Moon Kingdom in the silver crystal and sent them to earth. In this way she saved the life of her daughter and the rest of the Moon Kingdom, but she used all of her power doing this, so she died.
