Artemis, Luna, and Diana

Artemis is the guardian for Sailor Venus. He and Luna came from the Moon Kingdom a long time ago, and then were awoken by Queen Serenity to gather the Senshi. It's not really explained why only he had to awaken Sailor Venus while Luna had to awaken Moon, Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter, but he guided Luna as "Central Control" for a while. He also guided Sailor Venus when she was really "Sailor V." Artemis had a crush on Luna in the Sailor Moon S movie, but was too shy to tell her.

Luna is a black talking cat. She found Usagi and gave her the locket that let her transform into Sailor Moon. Luna took it upon herself to train Usagi and the rest of the Sailor Scouts (minus Minako). In the Sailor Moon S Movie, the silver crystal let her become a human. Luna treated Artimus badly even though she cared about  him. She also tended to call him silly or stupid, which hurt his feelings  But they did get  together , since their future daughter (Diana) traveled back in time to join Chibi Usa

Diana is the future daughter of Luna and Artemis. She was sent into the past in the fourth season, and took the place of Chibi Usa's cat companion, Luna Ball. Sometimes she has a hard time adjusting to life in the 20th century, and can get things mixed up very easily. Usually she is seen sitting on top of Chibi Usa's head. Although Diana is a pretty important character, she tends to stay in the background. She appeared as a character for the last 2 minutes of her debut episode... pretty strange. The whole episode was about how a mysterious purple (gray?) cat appeared from nowhere and claimed Artemis was her father, which made Luna suspect that he was cheating on her...
