Final Fantasy IX features a diverse cast of characters, each with unique trance abilities and weapons. As your party progresses throughout the adventure, you will meet new characters who will join your effort to stop the Queen.

Weapons: Weapons throughout Final Fantasy IX will assist your party in battling monsters throughout your adventure. Weapons possess abilities and magic which your characters can learn.

Trance Mode: Each character can enter a Trance Mode, available when the character's ATB reaches its maximum. Trance Mode can enable special attacks, allow regular attacks to cause more damage, and increases character strength and defense for a brief moment.
