Cloud Strife: at the age of 21 Cloud has acheived quite alot. As an ex-member of Shinra's elite squad known as SOLDIER his skills are highly sought after. In Final fantasy 7 he plays the lead role and during the game he turns from a hard hearted man to true leader who would sacrifice his life for his friends. As a childhood friend of Tifa and a mercenary for hire Cloud gets involved in a group called Avalanche led by a gun armed man called Barret. At first Cloud has no time for their purpose and just wants his money but gradually he gets more and more involed in Avalanche's cause. Cloud is a great asset as his sword skills are nearly unmatched he is a strong magic user but his real skill is in his limit breaks and sword slashes.

Barret Wallace: Barret Wallace is 35 years old and the leader of the rebel group Avalanche he has a strong passion for what he thinks is right and although at first he dislikes Cloud gradually they become good friends. Barret is devoted to the cause of saving the world against Shinra and blames them for the destruction of his home village and the death of his wife. Baret has a daughter is Midger whom he regrets having to leave behind when he goes on his expeditions in saving the world. Not a natural leader leading to Cloud to take control of the group Barret however is probably the most versatile character in the game having long attack weapons short attack weapons and being a good magic user. However Barret skills like Cloud resolve in his weapon skills not his magic so avoid bogging him down with materia.

Tifa Lockheart: Tifa and Cloud were childhood friends since they both grew up in the same town of Nibelheim. However they parted when Cloud left Nibelheim to for fill his dream of becoming a member of soldier. Tifa also left Nibelheim after her parents died to open her bar 'Tifa's seventh heaven' in Midger. Here she joins up with Barret and becomes a member of Avalanche. Tifa has strong feelings for Cloud and would like to become his love interest but accepts that Cloud has chosen Aeris instead. Tifa is a fairly weak member of the group having neither very strong phsical attacks or strong magic attacks. However,if you can get her limit break up to level four it is well worth the effort.

Aeris Gainsborough: An attractive 22 year old girl, Aeris has a very mysterious past which I will not spoil for you, needless to say when she meets Cloud her life is changed forever as she gets involved in Avalanche's quest to save the world. Aeris is the closest thing to a dedicated magic user as she has very weak phsical attacks but is a master of magic when playing with her put her in the back row and take advantage of her strong magic abilities by using her to heal your party, also take advantage of her limit breaks as they can be very useful for getting out of a tight fix.

That puts an end to my final fantasy 7 character page. I know their are more characters Cid, Vincent, Cait Sith to name a few but these four charaters above form the basics and structure of the story line.
