03 New Music
If new music is just a exploration of new sound effect and texture, that may be too superficial and meaningless. The Doctrine of Affection is still a very important consideration for me.
to me, music have to be comprehensible and meaningful as well. to affect one's mood and even one's sub-conscious is possible but difficult.
I dont know how many people are moved by Schoenburg's and Weber's music. how many are just pretending to be so? just pointing out the music is apprehansible is NOT enough. to me, affections have to be brought to others heart for a music to be effective.
