PARENTING
Being a parent is a gift. I cannot even really put into words how to describe this privelidge. Here are some words that come to mind though, (precious, wonderful, fun, important, exciting, and not to mention, exhausting, and scary. )It is a 24 hour a day job, so to speak, and your always wondering if you could be doing something better, or different. You realize that everything you do has an impact on your child.

Relax. Our time in this life is too short to be second guessing everything that we do.  Just live, and be happy. Your happiness reflects on those around you; so generally if your happy, your children will also be happy, and your spouse as well. This holds true if your unhappy as well. So try not to let the little things get you down. To keep your stress level down, take some time to yourself every now and then. Bubblebaths are a wonderful means of tension ease, but whatever works for you...I know its hard to find time for this, usually the only time I get to myself is late night, everyone is in bed, its quiet, and I loose myself for about an hour.

TIP: More than 200 different viruses can cause illnesses like the common cold. Never hesitate to call your doctor. Especially when infants have a persistant cough, labored breathing, or when any mild syptom worsens.

A NEAT IDEA: I got this from my sons home and school connection newsletter. If your having a hard time getting kids to bed, make a bedtime kit...place a flashlight, book, and small radio (or favorite toy) inside a shoebox. Once in bed allow them to use the items for 15 minutes before lights out.
