Welcome to the Web site of several of the Norman, Oklahoma, chapters of International MOMS Club®. MOMS Club (MOMS Offering Moms Support®) is the oldest organization in Norman for at-home moms and their kids. Our chapters offer a support network of local moms, daytime activities, and opportunities to follow your own interests with your kids along too. Our members are stay-at-home moms, moms who have home-based businesses, and women who work outside the home but are available for their children during the day. The three Norman chapters, MOMS Club of Norman-Northeast, OK; MOMS Club of Norman-Southeast, OK; and MOMS Club of Norman-West, OK, have a east-vs-west boundary at FLOOD STREET, and the NE and SE chapters share a north-vs-south boundary line of MAIN ST/ALAMEDA. Each chapter brings together moms and kids who live in the same general part of town. We occasionally have joint activities such as our annual Founder's Day Open House at a local park each August. (Learn more about NE Norman chapter ... west Norman chapter ... ActivitiesThe Norman chapters of MOMS Club have lots of great activities. Moms with babies, toddlers, and preschool-age children often attend a weekly playgroup that meets in members' homes and such monthly chapter outings or activities as visits to local parks, fire stations, bumper bowling, and area zoos. Each chapter has interest groups as well, such as a book group or gardeners group. Many MOMS Club members enjoy their chapter's MOMS Night Out as well -- an evening activity, such as dinner out. Kids are welcome at all of our activities. Each chapter has a monthly newsletter and several chapters have their own members-only chapter email list to help keep us connected. At our monthly chapter meetings we make plans and decisions, exchange information, and sometimes enjoy a brief program. Service projectsIn addition to our activities, our chapters have community service projects throughout the year. Since 2004 the west Norman chapter has organized Touch a Truck Day, a big fundraising event that benefits the children's section of the Norman Public Library, assisted by the NE and SE chapters. Also, when a member has a new baby, is ill, or is otherwise in need, we coordinate and provide meals to help the family in a time of stress. Find out more about usNE Norman chapter ...
