Lowe's kids workshop, first Saturday morning of each month. Call and register in advance. Kids get to take home their own work apron and a small hands-on project.
Home Depot Kids Workshop, second Saturday morning of each month. Call and register in advance. Kids get to take home their own work apron, a small hands-on project, and a pin for the day's project.
Art storytime and activity programs for kids on Tuesdays and quarterly Family Day Sunday afternoon programs, at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
Storytimes and reading activities at Barnes & Noble: for toddlers (up to 2 years), preschool (3-5 years), and school-age kids.

The Sam Noble Museum of Natural History Biiiiiiig dinosaurs! See if the Discovery Room is open. Best for ages 5 and up.
Splash in the big community pool, Westwood Water Park; the OU pool ($3 for ages 3 & up); or the Y pool (members only).
Kids' classes at Firehouse Art Center, on Flood between Boyd and Eufaula.

The Jasmine Moran Children's Museum in Seminole is excellent
! It's 50 minutes east of Norman on Highway 9.
The Little River Zoo, also east of Norman on Highway 9.
The Oklahoma City Zoo, of course. Next door to Science Museum Oklahoma.
The Science Museum Oklahoma in OKC (formerly the Omniplex) - hands-on science museum and kids' classes, art galleries, planetarium, children's garden and others, Red Earth Indian Center, OmniDome theatre. Next door to the Oklahoma City Zoo.
The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, OKC, has a fun kids area, a western town, gardens, and great exhibits.
Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC, both the enclosed Crystal Bridge and the outdoor walkways, pond, etc. Call 297-3995 for hours and admission prices.
